Closing Remarks by Prof. Masahiko Hirao, Co-chair of PSE Asia 2016
On behalf of the organizing committee of PSE Asia 2016, Prof. Hasebe and I as co-chairs wish to thank all keynote speakers, presenters, participants and reviewers for contributing to the success of this conference. We saw plenty of fruitful and exciting discussions in every session. Through the conference we found that PSE is so powerful that we are able to tackle many problems not only on process design, operation and control but also from molecule and product design to sustainable social systems design. We also would like to thank the International Program Committee members, the National Organizing Committee members and support staff. Support staff are students from institutes around Tokyo area and our success could not be attained without their efforts.
As Prof. Hasebe mentioned in his opening remarks, this conference aims for extending and intensifying PSE network in Asia, especially for students, young researchers and engineers. I believe that we could successfully achieve such objective through the 16-years-history of the PSE Asia series. I am certain that this excellent culture will continue for many years to come. We should get together in Bangkok in January 2019 again to tighten our network.
Thank you again and have a nice stay in Tokyo if you stay more, and a nice and safe trip back home. Cheers!
